A wonderful new Primary Academy in Maidstone, Kent is looking for a First Class Graduate to support a Year 4 class in all their activities throughout the academic year 2017/2018. The ideal new Primary Teaching Assistant will be a Graduate who is destined to become a Primary School Teacher and you will be looking to build up your experience levels before commencing your Teacher Training. You will adept at explaining things in a clear and easy to understand manner and would embrace the opportunity to teach literacy ands numeracy to an eager to learn class.
The Primary School is a new Academy which gained Academy status in 2016. Led by an extremely positive and influential Headteacher, the school is gradually picking up pace and with the involvement of parents and governors a new era of continued improvement has begun. The new school building is a major focus for 2017 and you will have the chance to join a school which is really on the up.
The Primary School has a higher than national average number of children who have special educational needs and EAL. You may have some previous SEN experience or would love the opportunity to learn about the inclusive nature of Primary School Teaching.
As well as some valuable class time assisting the Year 4 Teacher, you will also benefit from some modular training designed to get you ready for your PGCE course. This foundation training will give you a basic knowledge in inclusive learning and differentiation which will give you an insight into the practices of the Class Teacher. The Year 4 Teacher will be your friend, confidant and mentor. They will share their experiences from Graduate to Trainee Teacher to experienced Teacher so you will have a clear picture of how your teaching career can progress.
The Maidstone Primary Academy is a 2 form entry school in Maidstone, Kent. It is located near to the M20 and has its own car park in large grounds.
