What you will be doing:

We are looking for a network engineer to join our UK Network Infrastructure Team and be based in our Guildford Office. The successful candidate will be supporting the current infrastructure based mainly on Cisco, Checkpoint and Palo Alto devices. Support of the Mitel VoIP telephony system will also fall within the remit of this role.

Applicants are expected to have a current networking qualifications and demonstrable experience. Current CCNA/CCNP and/or PCNSE preferred.

This role may require travel to our international offices for work on remote sites and overtime, out of hours work and flexibility to work at other locations will be required from time to time.

•Primary focus on supporting our international Network of Cisco, Checkpoint and Palo Alto devices.
•Support of our mitel VoIP telephony system.
•Support of our MPLS infrastructure.
•Supporting various other network devices and services e.g. Proxies and WAN accelerators (Riverbed).
•Working as part of a friendly team the successful candidate will be supporting an environment where the team is collectively responsible for:
Support and maintenance of the current network infrastructure Ensuring that our various networks are operated in a secure and efficient manner by following best practices and performing pro-active maintenance. All network device related business continuity activities including backup and restore functions. Regular service and system patching and upgrades. Maintaining system documentation. Processing incidents and problems escalated from the Helpdesk within clearly defined processes aligned to ITIL best practice. Liaison with other support teams and third parties to ensure that incidents are escalated and resolved within the Service Level Agreements. Inclusion in the out-of-hours support rota. Processing incidents & problems within clearly defined processes aligned to ITIL best practice. Lifting & moving of equipment may be required during the course of work.
What we are looking for:

At least two of the following:
•Related Degree.
•Network +.
•CCNA/CCDA.
•CCNP.
•CCSA/CCSE.
•PCNSE.
•Solid and demonstrable Network Support experience working in a busy IS Department or other relevant work experience.
•Knowledge of VMWare and Orion would be beneficial.

•The successful candidate will be up to date with trends in IT and be able to relate these to business goals.
