Job Summary:
Generate new business opportunities to increase the income of the company in line with agreed targets through telesales.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
- Make telephone calls to prospects with a view to arranging an appointments.
- Maintain and develop the database, that support the new business activity.
- Create opportunities for New Business meetings with prospects
- Send marketing literature to prospects on agreed New Business Campaigns.
- Assist marketing activity as and when required.
- Referring prospects to the appropriate person when the enquiry falls outside your own knowledge and experience.
General Duties and Responsibilities:
- Be aware of market conditions and the strengths and weaknesses of competitors.
- Be conversant with Company Procedures manual
- Carry out all duties and processes in accordance with applicable Codes of Practice.
- Maintain strict confidentiality in respect of all information arising from and in connection with the group and the Company.
- Undertake any other duties in keeping with the nature of the position.
Skills Required
- Professional communication skills (written and verbal) that are effective and meet business needs.
- Excellent sales skills.
- Excellent customer care skills
- Ability to prioritise and organise own workload.
- Excellent team working skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines.
- IT skills commensurate with computer packages used.
