Job Title: Warehouse Assistant

Location: London

Full/Part Time: Full time

Job Description:

The Rug Company are looking for a hardworking and organised warehouse assistant to join our friendly team at the West London warehouse. Reporting to the Warehouse manager you will work closely with many other parts of the business, including the Logistics team, the Franchises and the Showroom teams.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Loading and Unloading rug shipments
  • Wrapping and Unwrapping rug shipments
  • Cataloguing shipments and booking into the system
  • Rolling and packing rugs
  • Hoovering, steaming and cleaning handmade rugs as necessary (on job training provided)
  • Loading/Unloading vans
  • Handling Industrial machinery
  • Arranging and preparing UPS shipments
  • General warehouse maintenance
  • Ad hoc tasks

Individual Requirements:

  • Hardworking team player
  • IT skills
  • Basic system knowledge an advantage
  • Drivers licence preferable (not essential)
  • Manual handling training an advantage (training can be provided)
