Radius PLUS are currently recruiting an Asset Manager for their new Maintenance Centre at Newton Aycliffe, Co. Durham. The 5,000 sq. ft. facility is a combination of office space, workshop and storage area and requires an experienced Asset Manager to join the team.
This new role is to establish the depot as the main maintenance centre for the Radius Plus and Subterra businesses and manage the facility on a day to day basis. Members of the Radius Systems Development (RSD) team will also use the facility, working on new innovations for the gas and water industry.
Who are we looking for?
As an Asset Manager, this role requires the post holder to exhibit both organisational and planning skills as well as being capable of hands-on maintenance work in preparing equipment for site use.
It is expected that the centre to be presentable to external clients at all times.
Additionally, you will have the required skills and experience to thrive in this role, including;
• Experience of managing a plant and equipment inventory and its condition consistent with the scale of Radius PLUS
• Full UK driving licence
• A mechanical engineering qualification (formal apprenticeship or higher)
Experience or knowledge of the following;
• Health, safety, environment procedures in a workshop/tool room setting
• COSHH assessments and other risk-based assessments
• IT skills; particularly experience of Microsoft Office products
• Working within a plant & equipment maintenance & repair environment
• Able to solve problems and work on own initiative
• Good communication and influencing skills to establish good working relationships across the organisation.
• A good team player, co-operative, enthusiastic and willing to share knowledge
• A flexible attitude, willing to take on new responsibilities and respond to situations as required
Desirable Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
• Expertise in use of Workmate planned maintenance and CMMS software
• Formal accreditation in Health & Safety e.g. IOSH or NEBOSH
• Knowledge of Utilities Industry activities
