Chef (Kitchen Manager)

We are looking for an experienced Chef Manager to lead our kitchen team, to deliver the highest standards of food to our residents.  We recognise the massive role food plays in the lives of residents and strive to ensure that every mealtime is a positive and fulfilling experience.

As Chef Manger you will be responsible for delivering high quality nutritional meals whilst leading your team with a hands on approach.  You will be experienced in staff management and able to demonstrate strong leadership skills to run an efficient kitchen and a prepare staff rotas and build relationships with colleagues, residents and suppliers.

Ideally, you will have experience of working within a care setting as well as menu planning, purchasing and the production of high quality meals within budget.

A good understanding of dietary needs for older people and cultural food preparation are important and you’ll need to hold a minimum of NVQ Level 2 in Food Preparation/Catering. You will take pride in ensuring a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness throughout the kitchen.
