Proman are looking to recruit up to 1000 ground workers for a major new build project in Somerset. The project has already commenced but additional people will be required from June.

Obviously not all 1000 ground workers will be required to start in June but the workforce is planned to ramp up significantly during the course of 2017. The work is scheduled to be complete by October 2024 but the manning levels will begin to run down from 2022.

RATES OF PAY, HOURS OF WORK, TRAVEL & LODGE
On this project you will be a PAYE employee of the client and will be paid in accordance with site Civil Engineering Sector Agreement (CESA), rates yet to be confirmed but expected to be attractive. In addition to the rate of pay there will also be a Productivity Scheme and Milestone Bonus. These bonus schemes will provide workers with the opportunity to substantially increase their earnings, depending on project performance.
The standard working week is 39-hrs Mon-Fri. Overtime during the week and Sat am will be paid at x1.5 and any hours worked on Sat pm & Sun will be paid at x 2.
It is planned to work 10-hr days Mon-Thurs and 8-hrs on Fri (this may be subject to change). The planned pattern is to work 11 days and have 3 days off (allowing travellers to have a long weekend every fortnight).
If you do not live local to site then you will be eligible for travel and lodge allowance as per the CIJC Working Rule Agreement.

PRODUCTIVITY SCHEME
A Productivity Scheme will be applied, based on workface teams exceeding required performance standards. Planned schedule requirements for this scheme will be specified for defined groups of workface teams on an area basis.

MILESTONE BONUS SCHEME
A Milestone Bonus Scheme will be applied, based on satisfactory delivery of specified project milestones. This scheme will be applied on a generic basis to all workface teams.
