Location: Reading, Berkshire

Salary: GBP45,000 - GBP55,000 per annum (depending on level of experience) + competitive benefits package

Overview

Working for an innovative and dynamic start up business we have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced HR Manager to join on a permanent basis and lead the creation and development of a brand new HR function.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to make a positive contribution to this growing and progressive organisation and both advise on and put in place the necessary policies, procedures and practices that will equip them for the next stages of growth.

The role requires the ability to think and plan strategically, shape projects and deliver to agreed timelines. Individuals must have a communication style and gravitas that allows them to coach, influence and integrate at a senior level through strong relationships.

Responsibilities

• Creation and management of HR delivery plan
• Procuring and setting up HR services ie Reference Checking, Payroll, Mandatory training, etc.
• Procuring and setting up Company schemes (Pensions, PMI, Car Lease, etc.)
• Creation of core HR polices (ie Expenses, Disciplinary, Sickness, etc.)
• Continued development of HR strategy in line with Company growth
• Management of recruitment plans to support continued growth

Skills, Qualifications & Experience

• Proven experience of leading the creation and development of basic HR infrastructure
• Proven experience of supporting a start up or SME business through change/growth
• Significant experience across the generalist HR skill set
• Excellent communicator with the ability to create and build effective relationships with all levels of the business
• Financial services exposure (desirable but not essential)
