Essential Requirements:

  • Either Infrastructure, Operations or Software Engineering experience, whichever it is you must have an interest in the other and want to learn!
  • Experience and interest in working within a fast-paced agile delivery environment
  • Strong experience of Linux Operating Systems, preferably Red Hat/CentOS but others are fine too
  • Intermediate Python would be ideal OR knowledge of cloud technologies (OpenStack, AWS, Cloud Foundry, OpenShift, etc)
  • Understanding of Continuous Integration, Deployment and pipelines (CI/CD/TDD)
  • Great communications skills
  • Evidence of humility, autonomy, openness, motivation and learning
  • Degree or equivalent in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience
Desirable Requirements:

  • Experience of working with OpenStack clouds, public/private as a user or an administrator
  • Experience working with a container orchestration platform either as an admin or a user
  • Familiarity with configuration management tools such as Chef, Puppet, Ansible or Saltstack
  • Fundamentals of big data services architecture
  • OpenShift or Cloud Foundry knowledge and experience
  • Experience in contributing to Open Source projects
  • Established background in public speaking at user groups, conferences, etc.
