Our client is a Further Education College offering a wide range of courses to over 5000 full time students and over 5650 part time students each year. The college currently works with over 50 high school partners, welcoming students from Bury and the surrounding areas.

In addition to over 900 students progressing to university from the College, 200 students choose to study a Higher Level course available at their University Centre each year.

Joining them as a Lecturer in Mechanical Engineering, you will teach across a range of BTEC Engineering courses at levels 1-4 and other specialist courses.

Delivering excellent and inclusive teaching and learning in the classroom so that learners are inspired to succeed and progress, you will integrate appropriate and inspirational curriculum resources including ILT into lessons and plan delivery so that schemes of work and lesson plans support achievement.

Educated to level 4 in Engineering, you will hold (or be working towards) a full teaching qualification and have experience of successful teaching (or teaching practice for NT’s) on Engineering courses.  With experience of delivering practical engineering units in a mechanical workshop setting, you will be capable of integrating ILT into lessons to assist learner achievement and of producing effective schemes of work and lesson plans. 

Full time role – 37 hours per week
