Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer with Electrical bias and qualifications - 6-2 and 2-10 Shift working - is sought by highly successful ambient food manufacturer.

Reporting to the Engineering Manager you will be responsible for carrying out planned maintenance tasks and site repairs along with providing engineering support for the operations team.

As and Electrically biased Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer you will perform the following duties:

Respond to any production-related activity involving any plant or machinery.
Carry out any planned maintenance tasks as directed and to the required standard in line with company and industry standards.
Participate in site-wide operational projects, for example installation of new equipment and plant, de-commissioning of machinery or other project-based activities.
Complete any necessary administration processes to the required standard.
Operate a clean as you go policy, ensuring full compliance with food hygiene standards.
Act in a professional manner in relation to visitors or customers.
Carry out any duties requested in a willing and helpful manner.
Comply with Company HACCP, Quality Manual, Health & Safety Policy and Operating Procedures at all time.

We seek a time served engineer, ideally within a food manufacturing environment, who is working towards or has in-depth knowledge of 16th or 17th edition, who ensures good Engineering Practice is applied throughout all site activities.
You should hold a City & Guilds 2391/2394/2395 Electrical Inspection & Testing Certificate (or equivalent) and have several years' experience in an operating engineering environment.
Experience of a multi-skilled engineering environment preferably within Dairy/Beverage industries would be considered ideal.
A thorough knowledge of Packaging machinery is essential, as is the ability to perform PAT Testing, Emergency Lights.
You must be able to demonstrate a knowledge of Inverters and have proven ability to troubleshoot and fault find.
You must be competent with single/three phase and low voltage control applications and installations.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills essential and familiarity with MS Office products also essential, as is your ability to work effectively in a fast paced multi-tasking environment.
Ability to work individually as well as within a team across all functions on site, demonstrating a 'can do' and 'flexible' attitude and approach towards the business requirements.
You must have an eye for 'Continuous Improvement' and have previous experience and be able to demonstrate plant improvement and production efficiency improvement
