Our client is a small successful curtain and blind company based in Stoke Newington, North London. They are currently looking to recruit a highly organised and experienced Office Coordinator/Assistant to join their busy team. Previous office administration experience is essential and experience in a soft furnishings environment would be an advantage.

Reporting to the Directors, you will be required to assist customers with enquiries, book appointments for measuring-up and fittings and carry out office duties to assist with the day to day running of the business.

Location: Stoke Newington, North London
Hours of work: Monday - Friday, 8.30am - 5.30pm
Type of contract: Permanent
Salary: GBP20,000 per annum
Benefits: 28 days paid holiday

Main duties for Office Coordinator/Assistant position:
• Deal with telephone, email and fax enquiries from both customers and suppliers
• Schedule appointments with customers for measuring-up and fitting curtains and blinds
• Manage and coordinate the Fitters' diaries
• Create sales estimates from measurements provided and present them to customers
• Place customer orders with suppliers and ensure receipt of all orders
• Using a variety of software packages, such as MS Word, Excel, etc., to produce correspondence and documents and maintain records, spreadsheets and databases
• List and oversee the sales process of Company products on Ebay
• Oversee the Company website and update as required
• Call potential new customers to introduce the Company's products and services

Requirements for the role:

• Administrative or customer service experience
• Strong computer skills, fully conversant with all relevant software applications (MS Office, Word, Excel, etc.)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and a professional telephone manner
• Able to use own initiative and demonstrate a common sense approach to office duties
• The ability to remain calm under pressure and remain professional at all times
• Able to multi-task and demonstrate strong time-management skills
• Accurate with excellent attention to detail
• Ability to develop professional relationships with a wide range of people inside and outside the company
• Flexible approach to changing circumstances with willingness to take on new tasks and experiences
• Self-motivated and able to work independently and as part of a team
