Principal Teachers are currently seeking to recruit a qualified Teacher of Maths on behalf of a secondary school in the Northallerton area. The Head Teacher has approached PT to appoint a committed Maths Teacher on their behalf to commence a full time post from September on a long term, on going basis. The successful applicant will need to have experience of teaching Maths to KS4 level but experience of teaching KS5 would be beneficial. You will also have pastoral responsibility of a Year 9 Form. You will need to show your commitment to improving attainment for all and be able to deliver a stimulating and robust curriculum to Year 8, 9, 10 and 11.
Based in the Northallerton area, the school serves a diverse catchment area and is well respected within the local community. You will become part of a thriving and experienced Maths Department, where working collaboratively is very much encouraged to share best practice. The Head Teacher wishes to appoint a dedicated professional, who will instil a love of learning Maths and provide students with enriching and experiential learning opportunities that will motivate learners of a range of abilities to achieve their full potential.
The successful applicant will have:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) recognisable in the UK
Strong behaviour and classroom management skills
Previous experience of teaching in the UK
Knowledge of the current Secondary National Curriculum requirements for Maths
Enthusiasm for the role and a creative flare
The ability to form excellent working relationships with staff and pupils from a diverse range of backgrounds
Experience of planning and assessment to a very high standard
A commitment to improving attainment for all students
A proven track record for raising attainment and achieving targets
