Job Title: Production/Manufacturing Engineer - Graduate
Salary: Negotiable

Location:Bath/Bristol

Job Purpose

To provide technical expertise, support and implement Production Engineering tasks.

Key Results Areas

- Design, implement and document processes for shop floor activities taking into account best engineering practice, lean manufacturing, health and safety requirements, environmental requirements, product quality and ensuring compliance with external regulatory bodies as well as meeting internal requirements.

- Take part in audits of company activities.

- Specify, design and implement specialist jigs and tools for new and existing products.

- Provide technical support for maintaining process instructions and documentation control.

- Actively assist in problem investigation and resolution.

- Provide breakdown support and improve reliability of machines and equipment.

- Work with production teams to continually improve processes and equipment. Raising capital applications and managing implementation.

Skills/Knowledge//Experience/Motivation Requirements

Essential
- Excellent computer skills, Excel/Access/Word
- Good basic engineering skills
- Experience of or ability to learn 'Solid Edge' CAD package

Desirable
- Knowledge of H & S legislation
- Knowledge of Environmental legislation
- Good awareness of continuous improvement techniques
- Similar job in similar environment
- Experience of or ability to learn 'LabVIEW' software package
- Experience of quality control, statistics and capability study
- Experience of MRP (Material requirements planning)

Qualifications

Essential
Degree in mechanical or electrical engineering, or similar
