Role Purpose

As an Operations Manager for a team of Senior Leadership and Management Coaches at t2 group you will be responsible for developing the careers of current and aspiring business leaders and managers through the delivery of a new Leadership and Management Higher Apprenticeship programme.

Key Objectives

Your role will involve ensuring the quality of learning and progress of all learners undertaking training with your team of Leadership and Management Coaches through to completion and passing an end point assessment.

Areas covered include:
•Strategic Planning
•Developing and Implementing Operational Plans
•Product and/or Service Development
•Leading and Managing Change
•Project Management
•Designing effective processes and procedures
•Optimising the use of technology to improve productivity
•Continuous improvement
•Financial and budget management

You will be responsible for ensuring your team meet with each individual and employer face to face at their place of work every 6 weeks to plan and review their learning to date. In between each visit you will ensure they guide each learner through a range of on-line blended learning resources during fortnightly telephone/SKYPE coaching sessions.

Each of your team will work with approximately 45 learners over this period in a variety of businesses within an approximate 30 - 40 mile radius of their home address. It is your responsibility to ensure each of your team completes each learner within the programme duration of 18 months.

The programme is funded through investment from the employer and government as part of a new Apprenticeship Standard for Operations / Departmental Managers at Level 5. Completion of a module every 6 weeks and completing the qualification within 18 months is essential to ensure that we are meeting the requirements of the programme, employer and government.

Qualifications and Experience

Suitable candidates will be dynamic, organized and experienced managers working in an operations or quality role within the Work Based Learning Sector with demonstrable occupational experience at Level 5 Management.

A good knowledge of coaching methodologies and practice is essential.

Areas Covered

The role will involve managing a team that covers Bristol, Birmingham and Manchester. Travel to meetings at our Head Office in Cardiff will also be required
