Job Term: Permanent / Full Time
Job Outline:
A global leader in the manufacture of optical and photonic systems to medical, telecoms, defence and aerospace industries now requires a Value Stream Manager to oversee all functions in the Value Stream to ensure KPIs are met and achieved.
Your key duties will be supporting Continuous Improvements and managing safety, quality, delivery and cost throughout the Value Stream processes.
You will provide direction and leadership to a matrix organisation of direct and indirect reports ensuring that products are manufactured with the highest level of quality in a safe and timely manner that will meet or exceed customer expectations.
Using your background in LEAN Manufacturing, along with project management practices, understanding of manufacturing matrix and yields, you will mentor and develop team members along the entire Value Stream.
You will champion the implementation of LEAN methodologies and philosophies as well as owning and reviewing Value Stream KPIs during daily management meetings.
Along with this you will also establish goals, set priorities and coordinate all related activities within the Value Stream to ensure drive and focus towards meeting or exceeding established common business objectives from the Strategic Plan and Budget.
Qualifications:
A Degree in Engineering or a relevant discipline is preferred.
Experience:
You will have at least 5 years' experience within a technical production environment, with demonstrable leadership skills, including managing manufacturing teams.
You will have worked within a LEAN Manufacturing environment and have achieved a Six Sigma Green Belt.
