.Net Software Developer
Bathgate EH48

Our client is a leading global provider of recycling and re-commerce solutions for mobile phones and other handheld devices. They have been hugely successful and because of recent growth they now require experienced .Net Developer to join their team, based in Bathgate.
What will you be doing?
As .Net Developer, you will work closely with the senior .Net Developers to work on existing and new applications. Duties will include helping design, build and debug both legacy and new applications, working with T-SQL heavily and assisting in release and deployment.
• Design, analysis and development work following industry best practice and internal coding standards
• Perform thorough unit testing which utilises automated methods wherever possible
• Carry out demonstrations of development work and explain things in a non-technical way
• Have a focus on clean, easy to maintain code and favour simplicity over complexity
• Pre-empt and highlight potential pitfalls and blockers and communicate these appropriately with Lead Developer and wider team
• Engage in the process of sprints, planning, retrospectives, daily stand ups and team meetings
• Research and recommend innovative, and where possible automated approaches for SDLC tasks.
Who are we looking for?
• Solid background in C# & .NET Framework (3.5 and above)
• Strong understanding of Object Orientated Programming (OOP) and sound principles
• Experience of ASP.NET, MVC, Web Forms, SOAP based web services and RESTful Web APIs;
• Good SQL Server skills with knowledge of SQL and T-SQL;
• Web development languages including HTML, CSS, JavaScript and experience of the frameworks jQuery and Bootstrap
• Excellent communication skills with the preference of a face to face conversation over alternative methods
• Customer focused and driven by the desire to deliver the right solution for the Stakeholder
• An enthusiastic and positive approach to work, with an excellent teamwork attitude, enjoys being part of a team and sharing success with colleagues
