Working in the Commission's Infrastructure team, you will be instrumental in the successful implementation of the Commission's accommodation strategy and lead all matters relating to our accommodation and Facilities Management across four sites, including FM service contracts, leases, MOTOs and Health & Safety. You will also lead and develop a responsive Business Support service providing administrative and project support to the organisation. The main responsibilities of this role will include: Implementation of the Commission's accommodation strategy in support of the Great Place Plan, including development of robust business cases for major accommodation improvement initiatives and successful delivery of the projects to time and budget, Establishing collaborative working relationships with landlords, tenants, government departments and supply partners to ensure delivery of high quality office accommodation and facilities management services, Management and development of a small team of Business Associates ensuring a responsive support service which is aligned to organisational priorities, and Ensuring the Commission meets it statutory health, safety and environment obligations and adopts best practice, in particular around well-being.
To be successful in this exciting yet challenging role, you will be able to lead a team through change, motivating and managing performance. You will possess a deep knowledge of current Facilities and Health & Safety legislation, regulations and best practice relating to the workplace as well as experience of handling a range of facilities management issues. You will be skilled in building and maintaining effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. You will have a proven ability to successfully negotiate complex contracts with landlords, tenants and service providers as well as delivering accommodation projects to time and budget. You will have extensive experience of implementing systems and processes to ensure compliance and a safe working environment. To be fully effective in this role you will be required to demonstrate our core skills of leadership, delivery management and stakeholder engagement as well as certain knowledge, skills and experience.
