Owing to a period of rapid growth we are looking for an exceptional, highly skilled Business Analyst to join our team in Caerphilly. We require people who can perform at the highest level and maintain the excellent standards we have within our team supporting our on-going IT development projects and our potential new developments, you must have the capacity to meet deadlines whilst maintaining quality.

As a Business Analyst, your role will include:

•Defining requirements covering the functional, non-functional, data and infrastructure requirements for all new changes and projects
•Documenting and controlling project requirements
•Analysing and documenting business processes
•Root cause analysis to identify key areas of failure and recommend appropriate solutions
•Acting as the link between the business and development teams and any third parties to ensure clarity and acceptance of requirements
•Provide input to/or designing the definition of UAT test scripts and test case scenarios
•Working with the development teams and other team members to assist in the handover and knowledge transfer of requirements
•Contributing to the identification of key participants in projects and the determining of the resource requirements and estimated effort
•Work with the Functional Team Lead and project team to identify and manage risks, dependencies and critical paths
•Manage changes in requirements, identify potential issues, and devise contingency plans
•Minimising the company's exposure and risk on each project
•Facilitating and participating in workshops and meetings

The Ideal Business Analyst:

•A proven track record of gathering and documenting requirements
•Experience of the full software development life cycle in both waterfall and agile environments
•Excellent client facing skills and the ability to communicate and express ideas to all levels of management
•Experience of the full project life cycle (either Waterfall or Agile methodology)
•Experience in the use of estimating techniques
•Strong written and oral communication skills
•Strong mathematical skills
•Understand relational database technologies
•Ability to work well under pressure
•Ability to work as an individual and as part of a team
•Willingness to learn and take on new challenges
•Understand basic modelling techniques, such as UML
