Mechanical Design Engineer Automation machinery

A very wellestablished designer and manufacturer of specialpurpose machinery requires a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their Design team at their Aylesbury site. As the leaders in their field they are known for their highquality equipment, strong commitment to customer satisfaction and swift responses to industry changes. This Mechanical Design Engineer position will offer exciting, challenging work designing bespoke complex machinery including assembly machines, handling machinery, robotics integration, feed systems, packing machines and dispensing machines among others. The Mechanical Design Engineer role will be responsible for seeing projects from initial design concept through to product launch. Typical tasks involve: initial idea generation, 3D CAD modelling, drafting, prototype assembly, testing, validation, project documentation and product launch. To be successful in applying for this Mechanical Design Engineer position you must have experience of designing with 3D CAD, preferably Solidworks. You must have experience designing special purpose machinery, ideally complex mechanisms required to assemble products that have multiple components. You should have strong competence in producing engineering drawings, including tolerancing and layering.You must have at least 510 years designing experience detailing machined and fabricated components and producing assembly drawings. Any experience with continuous motion assembly machines, pneumatics schematics and robotic cells would be highly desirable. This position will provide a salary of GBP40,000 GBP50,000 depending upon experience.
