The EMEA Bloomberg Compliance Department is part of the Global Bloomberg Compliance Department and provides compliance coverage of Bloomberg's regulated entities and products, as well as compliance support for Bloomberg's non-regulated products and services. The Compliance Department works closely with the Legal Department to address regulatory issues, ensuring compliance with current and developing rules and regulations, and corresponding with regulators.

What's the role?
Bloomberg's EMEA Compliance team in London is looking for an experienced person to join the EMEA Compliance team to act a Compliance Officer of the new Bloomberg Data Reporting Services Products ("DRSP's"), in particular the Approved Reporting Mechanism ("ARM") and the Approved Publication Arrangement ("APA"), and provide compliance support to Bloomberg LP where appropriate.

This is a unique team which utilises the diverse skills and experience of all members of the team to succeed in covering many different products and regulatory requirements. We'll trust you to: Liaise directly with the UK regulator, the FCA, for all aspects of the Bloomberg DRSP, responding to enquiries and requests Draft and update Compliance manuals, policies and procedures Work closely with business, legal and engineering, providing advice and guidance regarding the Bloomberg DRSP services Advise on regulatory change and developments Attend governance meetings, e.g. Board of Directors and Risk Committee, preparing relevant reports and management information Respond to regulatory enquiries and manage regulatory relationships, as appropriate Plan, prepare and conduct continuing education As part of the broader Compliance team, provide Compliance support to the broad range of business operated by Bloomberg LP You'll need to have: Bachelor's Degree (strongly preferred) Significant relevant experience at a regulated financial institution, with first-hand knowledge of trade and transaction reporting rules, including MiFID2 Familiarity with wider European regulations as well as FCA requirements The ability to manage and operate a compliance program for DRSP services with the requisite policies, procedures and controls Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work well under pressure, and manage a number of different tasks at the same time, often meeting tight deadlines The ability to new systems and technology with ease We'd love to see: Familiarity with financial markets and products - e.g. Derivatives, Fixed Income, FX, Commodities, and Equities, and FCA and EU regulatory developments A legal degree Salary: Competitive plus benefits
