Test & Validation Engineer

A specialist electronics manufacturer who produce life saving safety critical equipment is seeking a Test & Validation engineer.You will be involved in test and validation activities during product development, but also be responsible for the ongoing quality of our products by performing periodic testing of products whilst in production.Role ObjectivesDevise and perform Design Validation of new product developmentDevise and perform ongoing FPC and PV tests for products already in productionIdentify ways to automate all validation testing as much as possibleApply standardised and automated tests to competitor products so we better understand how our products compete with themRole Responsibilities:You will look at all applicable certification standards and write standard test plans and methods to cover all tests required by certificationFor each product write functional/performance test method to be used in conjunction with standard test methodologiesPerform tests and record results, write up test reports and test result summariesDevelop tests that test the performance of the products in question and go beyond the requirements of the product certificationsCarry out the testing of products as per agreed Product Audit Test plans & procedures Candidate Profile: The successful candidate will be:Experienced in test and validation processesAdept at identifying and implementing improvements to test processes, automating where possiblePractical and able to build test fixtures etc as requiredProficient with Labview and Teststand, and other software packages that enable control and automation of test equipmentThis exciting and rapidly growing company is a fantastic place to work, with long term career progression clearly on offer.
