About the Role

As a Room Manager at one of our nurseries, you will be responsible for the overall management within your room, therefore we are looking for someone who has strong leadership skills and experience, who can deliver great role model behaviours, whilst contributing to achieve outstanding inspection results.

This role is working 35 hours per week over 5 days, however we can offer the option of 35 hours per week over 4 days with a day off in the week, and this will be discussed during interview.

About You

Alongside holding at least a Level 3 Early Years Education qualification, you will be an exceptional mentor and early year's practitioner who has proven experience in managing a unit within a similar setting (ideally 2 years' experience).

You will have impeccable interpersonal skills and be able to communicate effectively to colleagues of all levels of seniority, building superb working relationships to ensure common goals can be achieved.

A clear and valid DBS is paramount and overseas applicants will need a clear and valid certificate of good conduct. Please note we will conduct a suitability check prior to interview.

Your Responsibilities and Duties will involve:

?? Ensure nursery checks and agreed action plans are completed

?? Ensure daily, weekly and monthly checks in the room are completed effectively

?? Ensure the room is clean and tidy at all times, and assist when necessary in administering medicine

?? Ensuring accident trends are monitored and actioned appropriately

?? Lead and manage your team by delegating appropriate tasks and motivating your colleagues

?? Manage resources, organise routines and systems, communicate with senior management team

?? Ensure staff are motivated and are trained & coached as per their individual needs, ensuring this meets the needs of the unit.

?? Assist in maximising income for the nursery and encourage parents to attend meetings, providing them with good feedback regarding their children

?? Be competent and effective with settling in profiles for children, alongside their short term, medium term and long term plans, and next steps and learning journeys.

?? Encourage relationships with local schools, charities, involvements with the community and taking children on trips

?? Keeping up to date with current practice by attending courses and conferences and reading the relevant magazines and books

?? Contribute to outstanding inspections (internal and external), self-evaluation form, action plan, and to reflections and evaluations on the setting

?? To be committed to the safe guarding of all children in the nursery and your direct care
