Security Engineer, Manchester, GBP50,000
You have the opportunity to have a career in Manchester's top organisation to work for. They have grown to dominate their finance market and are in the process of launching new key areas in their organisation, making this an ideal time to be joining them. They are on the lookout for an experienced Security Engineer/Analyst to monitor and maintain their internal security tools, policies and keep the organisation as secure as possible. You will start out in a BAU role, getting to know all of the internal systems. The role will then organically evolve with your career, looking in to forensics and other exciting security areas.
You will have considerable hands on experience in a Security Engineer or Senior SOC analyst role, as well as exposure to the following areas -
*Working experience of security tools e.g. SIEM, Proxy.
*Knowledge of security best practice e.g. ISO 27001, PCI.
*Understanding of Cyber-attacks and how to prevent them.
*Understanding of forensics.
*Understanding of IT Infrastructure and where security fits in to it.
*Good knowledge of penetration testing.
As well as a strong starting salary of GBP50k (depending on experience) you will also receive a great benefits package, including but not limited to the following -
