Job Title:Senior Mechanical Engineer (J43405)
Location:Bristol
Duration:Long term contract

As our reputation for proficient delivery of complex projects grows even stronger, we have a need for a Senior Mechanical Engineer. Working on a strategically crucial nuclear project based in our Bristol office you will be the main focal point on a critical safety project
Job role:
As a Senior Mechanical Engineer you will be responsible for design from a concept level for a temporary dockside water supply rig to be employed in a dockyard facility. Typical duties will include:
*Optioneering
*Producing flow calculations (head loss etc)
*Design report writing
*Design review presenting
*Design substantiation
Experience:
The ideal candidate will have knowledge of NSRP (especially Astute) / DHR and LOCA protection would also be useful. Various similar systems have been proposed in the past (and not succeeded) so there's a lot of background info to get a grasp of; there will also be visits to our client's site on the south coast for stakeholder meetings but these are infrequent and as the project demands.
Qualifications and Affiliations:
Degree qualified or equivalent in either Mechanical Engineering or other relevant engineering discipline and ideally Chartered or in the process of becoming chartered however this is not essential.
Security clearance:
Due to the nature of work to be undertaken applicants will be required to meet certain residency criteria in order to attain a minimum level of UK security clearance
