Are you a contracts engineer looking for the next step in your career?
Responsibilities
- To provide principle point of contact with customers for all queries relating to sales orders.
- To register and process into the business system (MTMS) all sales orders to the point of transfer of data to MRP.
- To ensure that all data entered into the business system (MTMS) accurately reflects the requirements of the sales order.
- To organise and assist the 3rd party customer or Sales office with the provision of customer documentation as required by the conditions of the order.
- To accept and review the Order Confirmation, ensuring the accuracy of all data contained within it.
- To liaise with all departments in ensuring that the provisions of the sales order are accurately observed at all stages of process.
- To provide liaison between internal departments to facilitate all aspects of customer service.
- To provide all aspects of information concerning order progress in response to customer enquiries.
- To organise and attend Contract Review meetings where such meetings are warranted by the complexity of the order.
- To attend project meetings where Contracts attendance is required.
- To attend, when necessary, meetings at customer's premises to discuss technical or commercial issues relating to order specification.
- Some travel maybe required.
- To receive visiting customers or their representatives, and provide necessary liaison between them and internal departments.
- To assist when required in the training of other departmental personnel, and in the introduction of new systems and procedures.
- To ensure that relevant Health and Safety procedures are observed at all times.
Person Specification
Experience/Knowledge
Desirable
- Minimum 1 -2 Years experience in a manufacturing/engineering environment with Good technical, mechanical and electrical knowledge.
- Experience in a contractual environment
- Knowledge of international business practices
- Sales experience
- Understanding implications of contract law
