This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast growing, dynamic company. They are currently seeking an experienced New Product Development Project Manager who will further strengthen their team based in Barnsley.

Reporting to the Group Head of Engineering, you will provide the overall management and coordination of new product development, and manage projects of multi-complexity levels including turbocharger components and assemblies through the full development cycle from inception, production launch and project close-out.

Responsibilities include:

- Coordination of NPD activities between Technical, Marketing, Purchasing and Engineering functions (UK and overseas)
- Management of multiple projects of differing complexity levels
- Responsible for ensuring cross-functional teams (UK and overseas) deliver the NPD objectives as defined within the project scope.
- Implementation of continuous improvements of the NPD process including, controls and reporting methods
- Working to ISO 9001 and/or TS16949
- Preparation and communication of project reports and the tracking of KPI data
- Reporting performance & KPIs to the Directors.
- Coordinating project milestones reviews

The ideal candidate will be degree educated from an engineering or project management discipline, or as a minimum, you must be qualified to HNC (or equivalent).

It is essential that you have:

- A track record of managing cross-functional teams
- Experience in developing and implementing processes and process improvements to improve NPD efficiency and effectiveness
- Commitment to success, quality and excellence
- Commercial awareness
- Passion for project management associated with NPD
- Leader and team player who recognises the importance of wider cross functional NPD teams
- Demonstrable project management experience

It would be advantageous if you could demonstrate experience working within the turbocharger or automotive industry with some familiarity of Six Sigma or Lean processes.

Salary is up to £42,000 pa
