Our client is a not-for-profit Registered Social Landlord providing homes for people in Aylesbury and the surrounding villages. They provide affordable homes and build communities that people are proud of.

They're seeking a Community Caretaker to join a highly thought of team providing a flexible, responsive, high-quality caretaking, cleaning and handyperson service to your own dedicated patch within the Vale. Delivering a high standard service you will drive a fully equipped van and work as part of a mobile caretaking team of five Community Caretakers managed by a Caretaker Manager.

You must be organised, able to work and carry out instructions with the minimum of supervision and have knowledge of safe working practices relating to the use of ladders, electrical appliances, solvents, disinfectants and manual handling. In addition, you must be able to demonstrate that you are able to communicate effectively both in writing and verbally. You will have a flexible attitude to be able to respond to problems with a willingness to help.

The position is generally field based; however, you will be required to work regularly within the office. You must be IT literate (basic Word and Excel) and be able to complete forms.

You must have a full and clean driving licence.

Closing Date: 29th June 2017 - 5 pm

There will be 2 stages to the recruitment and selection process.

If shortlisted you will be invited to attend an assessment day on 7th July 2017, which will consist of a theory and practical test followed by a competency-based interview.
