SALARY: £33,423 - £41,421 per annum

Secondment Opportunity fixed term to 31^st March 2018 to backfill a Secondment

The Western Bay Locality comprises of a variety of Family Support services commissioned by Families First, Education and the Big Lottery Fund.

At present, there are 3 main services across the Locality area;

Swansea Children Matter – Breaking the Cycle

Neath Port Talbot – Family Group Conference Service

Bridgend Services- Practical Home Management/ Emotional Health Group

The key responsibilities for this post are;

• To lead and manage all staff and workers in order to build and maintain a capable and motivated team
• To foster and maintain positive working relationships across partnerships
• To manage service budgets alongside ADCS and Business Manager/Finance Officer
• To contribute to the re-commissioning of services

You will also need to have;

• Knowledge of issues, policy and practice across the safeguarding/child protection spectrum 
• Knowledge of research, methods and theory associated with service delivery
• Knowledge of issues which impact on working with families within deprived communities

The successful post holder will have the ability to travel throughout the locality as this service covers all three local authorities in Western Bay. It is also essential to have a professional social work qualification is required for this post i.e. Degree in Social Work, DipSw, CQSW or CSS.
