About the role

As Packaging Technologist you’ll be Pukka’s champion of packaging quality. Working closely with our marketing, quality, and procurement teams you’ll support the development of new packaging solutions that meet the Pukka mission. You’ll play a key role in coordinating the change management programme, combining the effort of our operations and marketing teams along with our partner packers, to deliver improvements in our existing product range and support the successful technical delivery of our new product development.

In this junior level project management role, you’ll communicate packaging updates with internal colleagues and co-packers, lead packaging trials, create packaging artwork specifications, check that packaging artwork meets technical specifications before sending to print, coordinate the resolution of technical challenges, and attend print runs when required. Fostering a culture of continuous improvement with our partner packers you’ll ensure that standards in product quality are met.

About you

You’ll ideally be degree qualified or have experience gained in a similar junior packaging project management role within a manufacturing environment. A knowledge of supply chains, legal labelling requirements and printing processes are a real benefit.

You’ll be highly organised, meticulous, able to prioritise workloads effectively and be someone who aims high and is determined to deliver excellence. Solid project planning and basic level project management skills are needed alongside a proven track record in delivering and coordinating multiple, complex technical projects.

With an inquisitive and creative mind, you’ll be a proactive problem-solver, able to identify product and process solutions, and have a real passion for Pukka and what we stand for. You’ll have a proactive mindset, thrive on deadlines, be resilient to changing priorities, and able to manage multiple projects in a busy office environment. Calm under pressure you’ll have strong verbal and written communication skills, able to maintain an eye for detail and can change gears quickly as needed.
