Established in 2010, Gower College Swansea is one of the largest Further Education College in Wales and one of the sectors leading lights. The College has over 4,500 full time and 8,000 part time learners from across Swansea and neighbouring counties. It operates from 6 locations across the City and County of Swansea and has a current turnover of £37m with over 700 staff. The College receives excellent feedback from its students and has a reputation for delivering the highest standards of teaching and learning and maintaining this profile is a key strategic priority for the College, as it builds upon its solid foundations and continues to grow organically.

The Role

  • Reporting to the College Principal, and a member of the College Senior Management Group, lead the HR team in developing and delivering the College’s HR Strategy.
  • Ensure the delivery of high quality and effective HR services to enable the College to achieve its current and future business objectives.
  • To act as a trusted advisor to the Principal and Governing Body, and be an active member of the  Senior Management Group by contributing to the overall development of the College’s strategic and operational objectives.

The Candidate

  • An experienced and capable generalist HR professional with at least 5 years HR management experience.
  • A strong track record of creating and implementing best practice HR processes, policies and systems to deliver effective people, financial and business development growth as well as wellbeing goals.
  • Strategic, highly commercial and analytical with a strong customer focus.

Wedi'i sefydlu yn 2010, mae Coleg Gŵyr Abertawe yn un o'r Colegau Addysg Bellach mwyaf  yng Nghymru ac yn un o geffylau blaen y sector. Mae dros 4,500 o ddysgwyr amser llawn a 8,000 o ddysgwyr rhan-amser gan y Coleg yn ardal Abertawe a'r siroedd cyfagos.  Mae'n gweithredu o 6 lleoliad ar draws Dinas a Sir Abertawe ac mae ei drosiant cyfredol  yn £37m gyda dros 700 o staff.  Mae'r Coleg yn cael adborth ardderchog gan ei fyfyrwyr ac mae ganddo enw da am ddarparu addysgu a dysgu o'r safon uchaf, ac mae cynnal y proffil hwn yn flaenoriaeth strategol allweddol i'r Coleg wrth iddo adeiladu ar ei sylfeini cadarn a pharhau i dyfu'n organig.

Y Rôl

  • Yn atebol i Bennaeth y Coleg, ac aelod o Uwch Grŵp Rheoli'r Coleg, byddwch yn arwain y tîm AD wrth iddynt ddatblygu a chyflawni Strategaeth AD y Coleg.
  • Sicrhau bod gwasanaethau AD effeithiol, o safon uchel yn cael eu darparu er mwyn i'r Coleg allu gwireddu ei amcanion busnes nawr ac yn y dyfodol.
  • Gweithredu fel cynghorydd dibynadwy i'r Pennaeth a'r Corff Llywodraethu, a bod yn aelod gweithredol o'r Uwch Grŵp Rheoli trwy gyfrannu at ddatblygiad cyffredinol amcanion strategol a gweithredol y Coleg.

  • Gweithiwr proffesiynol AD cyffredinol profiadol a galluog sydd ag o leiaf 5 mlynedd o brofiad ym maes rheoli AD.
  • Hanes cryf o greu a gweithredu arferion gorau ar gyfer prosesau, polisïau a systemau AD er mwyn sicrhau pobl effeithiol, twf ariannol a datblygu busnes yn ogystal â gwireddu nodau llesiant.
  • Unigolyn strategol, â phen masnachol a dadansoddol, gyda ffocws cryf ar gwsmeriaid.
