Support Worker - Female

We are looking to employ a self-motivated, reliable, female Support Worker to work with a young lady who has cerebral palsy and other medical problems in her own adapted flat within the family home.

There are several positions available both full and part time between the hours of 9am-9pm which may include weekends. The successful applicants must be willing to be flexible around shifts patterns which will be agreed in advance around care needs.

The post will include supporting the Client with personal care and dressing, food and nutrition, participating in therapy activities including swimming in the Clients own hydrotherapy pool, supporting all activities of daily living and promoting her independence.

She has a keen interest in making items for the family craft shop and enjoys other activities such as puzzles, walking her assistance dog, going on day trips and being supported to access the community.  The property is a non-smoking site.

The successful candidate will have:

Ideally relevant experience in the care sector

Be confident, self-motivated and able to use own initiative

Able to work under pressure and in stressful and challenging situations

Must be a driver with full clean driving licence

All suitable applicants will be subject to DBS checks being completed.
