A logistics company are seeking a Lead Commissioning Engineer to join their team in Market Harborough (near Leicester); this particular role will be 80% field based. Do you have the ability to create project PLC code and design and develop HMI and SCADA systems? If so, then you may be the Engineer we're looking for. What will you be doing? As Lead Commissioning Engineer, you will be responsible for the commissioning of Level 2 PLC control systems for automated materials handling solutions. You will work collaboratively with the Commissioning Manager, undertaking team leader activities overseeing small teams of Commissioning Engineers and Technicians for successful project delivery. In addition to this, you will play an active role in the design of the control systems when required. What skills/experience should you have? Minimum NVQ level 3 / City & Guilds in electrical engineering Ability to create project PLC code ideally in the Siemens S7 environment Previous experience of commissioning and testing in an engineering / industrial environment Good understanding of control systems including but not limited to: Hardware, networking concepts, Fieldbus technology (Profibus, Profinet, ASi) and industrial drives Ability to design and develop HMI & SCADA systems Who will you be working for?
