Our client is looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic IT Support Technician with commercial experience working in a helpdesk or support role.

They are a fast-growing company with locations across the UK, and the IT team provide a wide variety of technical services to support our staff and deliver a five star experience to their guests. This is an excellent opportunity to learn from their experienced team members, improve existing IT knowledge and acquire new technical skills.

Job Role:

- Provide IT Support to company employees, by phone, email and face to face
- Create and maintain user accounts and mailboxes
- Diagnose and resolve software and hardware faults
- Manage and maintain IT systems across the group
- Liaise with 3rd parties where required to ensure issues are resolved
- Involvement in projects to improve the group IT systems and procedures

The role is primarily office-based in Cheddar, Somerset, but some travel to other sites will be required from time to time using a company vehicle.

The Candidate:

The successful candidate will be hard working, self-motivated and proactive, with strong troubleshooting abilities and dedication to seeing problems through to resolution. Being adaptable and willing to learn new skills is essential, as is being a team player who works well with others and is focused on achieving team goals as well as personal goals.

To succeed in this role you will need to have some experience with most of the following:

- Windows Desktop and Windows Server operating system
- PCs, laptops, mobile phone
- Call logging system
- Fault diagnosis, investigation and resolution
- Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange
- DNS, DHCP, Group Polic
- Microsoft Office suit
- Ethernet networking and TCP/I
- Printers & print server
- File Systems, NTFS, AD Securit
- Anti-virus and security management
- A full driving license is essential

Experience with the following would also be beneficial:

- Citrix XenApp or RDS
- Large scale wifi deployments
- iOS/MacOS
- Telephone systems
- Structured cabling
- Routers and firewalls
