The Hinkley Point C Project is one of the largest infrastructure projects in Europe. During the business construction phase over 5,600 people will work on the site.
The project marks the rebirth of the UK's nuclear industry and will present invaluable opportunities for Somerset, the South West and wider UK.
We are currently looking for Project Document Controllers. The role will provide document control support services across the HPC Project and will be based in at Hinkley Point C.
Main duties and responsibilities will include:
*Provide a professional, accurate and reliable document control support to a Project Manager and Team
*Assist a Project Manager and Team in the migration of their data from the network drives into the designated electronic document management system (EDRMS).
*Provide a Project Manager and Team with guidance on how to use the designated EDRMS
*To provide and maintain an organised electronic NNB filing system consistent with NNB Management Arrangements, so that information is readily available and easily accessible
*Ensure a Project Manager and Team operates within the NNB document control system
*Expedite reviews, comments and responses of documentation and correspondence from NNB, AE, Contractors and third parties to support the achievement of the project timeline
*Plan and prioritise own work to meet deadlines
Qualifications and experience
*Have an excellent understanding of the functions of Electronic Document and Record Management Systems
*Broad understanding of document management methodologies and tools within an enterprise environment
*High level of competence in the use of Microsoft Office suite and other IT systems
*Be proficient in basic office skills i.e. use of photocopier, scanner, printers etc.
*No formal qualifications are required as long as there is an ability to demonstrate a good standard of general education
*Good housekeeping, organisational skills (Flexible/organised/methodical)
*Ability to demonstrate good record keeping
*At least 3 years Document Control experience on major projects within an engineering environment.
*Ability to work independently and be pro active
*Ability to take responsibility for own work
*Ability to manage own time
*Ability to follow through and complete activities
*Ability to adapt to new and changing systems
This position will be based at Hinkley Point C working on the HPC project with travel to other project sites including Bristol and London as required.
