Associate Director Level - Structural Design Engineer
Gloucestershire
GBP45,000 to GBP60,000 + Package
Role Summary: Responsible for overseeing the successful technical and commercial execution of project work, and managing the personnel and resources within a section of the business. Associates will be client orientated and capable communicators, able to develop strong relationships with clients and fellow professionals to secure repeat business.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Enhancing and growing the reputation of the company.
Client Management & Business Development.
Overseeing and managing projects and resources.
Providing technical leadership within the business.
Coordination with other sections of the business.
Assisting with the development and implementation of management systems.
Overseeing and preparing bids.
Financial management and reporting.
Assisting with recruitment, training and appraisal of technical staff.
Assisting with the management of staff and pastoral issues.
Communication:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills
Able to represent the business at meetings and inspections, and provide advice on complex
engineering matters
Able to negotiate commercial/financial matters.
Qualifications and Experience:
A degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, or alternative equivalent practical experience
Chartered Engineer, Member of IStructE, ICE or other relevant institution
Knowledge of relevant discipline and applicable standards
Proven ability in engineering design & reporting
