With over 30 years’ experience, our client began as a manufacturer of fibreglass products, supplying the asbestos removal industry in the UK.

From there they have designed and developed a full range of decontamination equipment, products and consumables ensuring that people and the environment are protected from exposure to potentially hazardous substances and have identified an excellent opportunity for an experienced Service Engineer / Driver to join their growing team.

Your role:
As the Service Engineer/ Driver, you will be expected to carry out all testing, servicing and maintenance of customers’ and the company’s equipment. Your role will involve some driving to access the customers. Your further duties include:

• DOP testing of HEPA filters
• PAT testing (electrical)
• Mask testing (all makes of full face plus some half masks)
• Face fit testing.
• Proflow 2 maintenance and repairs
• Maintenance of extractors and hazardous vacuums
• Uphold preventative maintenance records for customers and hire equipment
• Accurate completion of service report forms and paperwork
• Delivering orders to customers in accordance with service priorities
• Ensuring company vehicles are maintained and serviced in line with legal and manufacturers requirements
• Assisting with stock takes, warehousing and stores duties when required
• Operating safe working practices and procedures


Essential Requirements:
The successful candidate will be competent and have strong knowledge of basic electrical, plumbing and mechanical maintenance in relation to this semi-skilled position. Additionally, you will;

• A current, clean driving licence (will accept a maximum of 3 penalty points) in addition to a towing entitlement on licence is essential
• A good working knowledge of DIY skills
• Knowledge of on and off-hire procedures
• Excellent people skills, high-quality standards and customer focused
• A willingness to go that extra mile to achieve customer satisfaction
