Who will I be working with?

So, what will the role of Communications and Marketing Officer entail?

Working closely with the Marketing Manager you will be part of a small, hands on team of experienced professionals, where you will support the delivery of the company’s strategic marketing and communications plan. The role requires a proactive and flexible approach to completing day to day tasks and projects, including;

  • Writing professional and engaging articles for the company websites
  • Drafting employer branded job advertisements for client approval
  • Developing content for email campaigns
  • Writing external press releases
  • Creating engaging, powerful social media posts for job adverts
  • Assisting the Marketing Manager with the design of online images
  • Social media promotion and management for multiple JVP brands
  • Helping with the organisation and administration of JVP events and external exhibitions
  • Updating online company profiles on directories and third party websites
  • General office administration and customer service tasks as required

What will I need to be considered?

  • Experience within a commercial communications / marketing role, or studies undertaken within communications, journalism, marketing or similar
  • Superb creative writing skills, with the ability to demonstrate a portfolio of professional work
  • High standard of grammar and spelling, and a keen eye for detail
  • Timely and accurate typing and data entry skills
  • Highly organised with the ability to prioritise own workload effectively
  • Strong IT literacy particularly with the internet and Microsoft Word
  • A positive outlook, along with enthusiasm, drive and self-motivation
  • Proactive approach to work and flexibility towards tasks
  • Exceptional listening and interpersonal skills, with a confident and professional manner
  • Full UK driving licence and own transport

What will I receive in return?

Salary: In the region of £15,000 to £19,000, level dependent on current experience

Hours of work: Full time, Monday to Friday.
