<p>United Response is a national charity providing support to young adults. We manage over 30 services throughout the region and provide support to people with learning disabilities, autism and mental health needs. We are looking for passionate committed people who will value the individual needs of the people we support.</p><p>We have two 35 hour posts available at an Independent Supported Living (ISL) service on the outskirts of Chester le Street. Providing 24/7 support to a gentleman in his mid-40’s who has Autism and challenging behaviour.</p><p>The role is to support the gentleman in his daily living who requires a dedicated team to provide structured routines, consistency and continuity of care. You must have a sound understanding of person centred support and positive risk taking and the possess flare to continue to improve his quality of life.</p><p>The post requires 2:1 support in house and 3:1 support in the community to access a range of activities on a daily basis. Interests in swimming, music, singing, drumming, art, ball games, sensory, animals, walking, pub lunches, cafes’ and holidays.</p><p>Shifts will vary and include short days/long shifts/evenings/weekends/sleep ins/Bank Holidays.</p><p><strong>FULL UK DRIVING LICENSE AND ACCESS TO A VEHICLE IS ESSENTIAL.</strong></p><p>With a training program designed to fully equip everyone regardless of experience we’ll make sure you have the tools and knowledge to perform this role to the best of your ability.
