Staffordshire Victim Gateway is commissioned by Staffordshire's Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner to support victims of crime, providing information, advice and/or practical and emotional support to victims of crime helping them cope and recover from their experience and exercise their rights under the Victims Code, even if they have not reported the crime to the police.
We are looking to recruit a part-time Telephone Assessor to join our team
The successful candidate will be responsible for contacting all victims of crime referred to the service by Staffordshire Police as well as responding to third party or self-referrals. Your role will be to complete an assessment of the victim's needs and provide immediate and follow up information, advice and emotional support. Applicants should possess a good telephone manner and have strong communication skills as well as being computer literate and used to working in a team. Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as well as Bank Holidays, on a rota basis is also required.
Hours: 21 hours (3 days) per week on a rota basis working from our Hanley office
Starting salary: £16,781 per annum pro-rata (actual salary £9,397)
