New opportunity not to be missed! Arriva Bus & Coach Ltd have an opportunity for an Area Sales Manager to join our growing team covering South West England and South Wales. The successful Area Sales Manager will receive a competitive salary of circa £32,000 per annum plus excellent benefits. This is a field based position with occasional travel to our head office in Cleckheaton.

We specialise in the sale, rental and finance of new and used vehicles along with excellent, nationwide servicing and repair and parts support.
Reporting to the Head of Sales, as our Area Sales Manager you will be responsible for developing and delivering sales success in the designated area.
Other responsibilities include:
Sales lead generation
- Identify potential prospects and arrange visits
- Follow up on leads provided via website and other marketing activities
- Schedule sales generation activity
- Ensure sales database is kept up-to-date and accurate
Build/maintain effective customer relationships
- Maintain regular contact with existing customers to ensure a full appreciation for their business needs and buying intentions
- Establish effective communications with all customers and identified prospects
- Develop a trusted partner relationship
- Investigate and find solutions for customer service issues and complaints
Secure business
- Prepare tailored sales proposals
- Present quotations and offers to customers
- Complete sales negotiations, ensuring compliance with company sales guidelines
- Close sales and submit necessary order documentation
- Offer rental or finance options to customers as appropriate
Market intelligence
- Monitor and report on market conditions, competitor activity and product developments
- Assist with market surveys and research
- Identify new market and business opportunities
- Read industry publications/websites
- Maintain suitable professional networks
Reporting
- Submit sales and activity reports on a timely basis
- Ensure delivery of outstanding customer service
- Coordinate promotion to customers of other services (eg parts and service)
Our ideal Area Sales Manager:
- Proven success in a passenger vehicles sales environment, or similar
- Territory sales experience
- Good knowledge of rentals and finance
- Experience in use of a CRM system
- Self-starter, who is naturally enthusiastic and results-driven
- Strong awareness of customer needs
- Effective communicator and presenter
- Excellent inter-personal skills
- Well-ordered and organised
- UK driving license
