My client is looking for an a projects administrator for their busy central Berkhamsted offices for ideally an immediate start for a maternity cover position for 1 year.

This is a hands-on varied role, working in a small, busy office, providing first class project management and administrative assistance to the entire team, covering all functions including; marketing, sales, event management and the wider business needs, ensuring their products, services and events are delivered on time, to budget and to the highest standard,
A willingness to learn, lots of enthusiasm, a proven academic record, and being a team player are essential, you will be at the heart of the numerous activities in this varied and fasrt moving position.

Essential duties and responsibilities

Take control and use initiative to manage any projects that come out of working
Provide project and administrative support to the CEO, Marketing Director, Event Manager and Business Development (Sales) Manager (BDM)
desktop research (to ensure databases are up to date)
support and attendance at events (at all stages including; planning, promotion (through social media) and organization), primarily focusing on delivery, post event evaluation and analysis.
Support the CEO with the running of numerous working groups; attending and taking minutes at these meetings
Support marketing with social media channels
Assist in the delivery of numerous research projects.
Office administration: answering the telephone, helping with general enquiries, directing calls and pulling together member packs.
Some national travel is required
Other duties may be assigned

Skills & attributes

Experience of project administration from a previous paid or voluntary role (project administration in relation to events is preferable but not essential)
A good working knowledge of Microsoft; Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook, the internet, social media is essential
A familiarity with populating a CRM database would be beneficial
Excellent interpersonal and communications skills
Strong organisational skills
Conscientious, self-motivated and keen to immerse themselves into the organisation
Writing and proof-reading skills
Attention to detail
Ability to work as part of a small but very busy team
Ability to work under pressure, to perform against deadlines and prioritise workload efficiently
Diary Management
Customer focused, with a strong desire to build long-term relationships with members

Qualifications:

Education to degree level is preferable/ proven experience of working in a similar environment
