Breakfast Club Assistant - West Oxford After School Club, Oxford
Oxford Active needs a mature and responsible person to help run the busy Breakfast Club.
The club is open Monday to Friday from 7.45am - 8.50am during school term time only.
You will be helping to prepare breakfast and provide a range of activities designed to get children ready for a busy school day.
You must be reliable, committed, and have some experience of working with children.
Job Duties
Providing safe, creative, appropriate play opportunities and preparing activities for the children
Helping ensure safe arrival of children at the club and the safe delivery to classrooms at the beginning of the school day
Providing breakfast to the children
Being responsible for tidying the room and clearing away at the end of the club
Carrying out all responsibilities and activities within an equal opportunities framework
Working within agreed policies and procedures
Person Specification
Experience or working with 4 - 11 year old children
Ability to communicate at all levels, particularly with children
Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
An appropriate qualification in Playwork at NVQ Level 2 or the equivalent is desirable but not essential
Must share Oxford Active's commitment to Safeguarding and already have or be prepared to obtain an enchanced DBS disclosure
