Our client, an international manufacturing company, is looking for fluent English plus at least one other European language speaking Customer Service Representative to work at their European headquarters in Worcester. You need to have excellent customer service skills and experience in the manufacturing and sales sector. You must be able to pick things up quickly and be able to retain a large amount of technical information.
The Role:
You will be interacting with a mixture of very large multinational and some smaller companies in English speaking countries, dealing with orders by email and phone, providing quotations from various price lists, processing sample requests and resolving any arising queries as required.
You will develop long term relationships with both existing business customers and new ones and communicate with a number of internal departments across the business. You will provide technical assistance and support to the sales force, marketing and management teams. As part of a small office-based team you will be working with French, German, Spanish, Italian and Dutch speaking colleagues. The headquarters consists of about 200 people working in manufacturing, engineering and design teams as well as the Administration and Finance offices supporting activities across Europe.
The Person:
As about 90% of the time would be dealing with English speaking customers we are looking for a candidate who speaks, reads and writes both English plus another European language to a very high standard. You must be very good on the phone with excellent listening and prioritisation skills.
Previous customer service experience (preferably in a technical manufacturing environment) is very helpful and a professional, organised attitude is essential. You will need to be able to prioritise and work with different IT systems every day.
This role also involves some technical sales support to customers. You will get extensive product and systems training as well as an induction to the other areas of the business to properly understand the culture and requirements of different teams.
The Location:
The company is in modern offices in a business park to the north of Worcester, with easy access to the M5, Birmingham, Cheltenham, Stow-on-the-Wold, Leamington Spa, Stratford, Stourbridge, the West Midlands and Midlands. There is ample parking and a regular bus to the Worcester stations, although the building is not situated especially close to the stations.
