Principal Teachers are currently seeking to appoint a KS1 Teacher on behalf of a primary school in Knaresborough. The Head Teacher has approached us to recruit a professional on their behalf to commence a full time post in a Year 1 class. The successful applicant will need to show their commitment to improving attainment for all and ensuring children in their care have the tools and learning experiences they need to succeed.
Based in Knaresborough, the school is well regarded within the local community and serves a large catchment area. You will be welcomed into a thriving and experienced KS1 team where collaboration is encouraged to share best practice. You will have access to a wealth of resources and the school has excellent outdoor facilities. Behaviour across the school is good and so it is essential that you possess the skills and temperament to uphold these standards. You will be expected to plan and assess to a high standard to inform target setting and ensure learners of varied abilities are fully supported. A full time TA will be present in the classroom and you will need to deploy your TA effectively to support teaching and learning. Experience of planning phonics schemes of work would be beneficial.
The successful applicant will have:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) recognisable in the UK
Strong behaviour and classroom management skills
Previous experience of teaching in the UK
Knowledge of the current Primary National Curriculum requirements for KS1
Enthusiasm for the role and a creative flare
The ability to form excellent working relationships with staff and pupils from a diverse range of backgrounds
Experience of planning and assessment to a very high standard
A commitment to improving attainment for all students
A proven track record for raising attainment and achieving targets
