A vacancy exists for an IT Systems Administrator (REF: 593) at the Union’s Head Office in Manchester.
The salary is from £31,557 pa to £39,435 pa after three years’ service.
Usdaw offers a final salary pension scheme and generous holiday entitlements.
Principal duties are: to be responsible for the administration and support of the Union’s IT infrastructure; third line support of a VMware Vsphere 6 cluster and stand-alone ESXI servers; to administer the Union’s storage, network and backup systems, including SAN/NAS, Veeam, ASA Firewall and some router and switch support.
The successful applicant will possess: experience of analysing, recommending and implementing new IT solutions; project management skills; problem solving skills; good interpersonal and communication skills; the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.
