Rail Safety ERTMS and Control, Command and Signalling (CCS) Engineer / Consultant

Location: Dorking

We have a rare opportunity for an experienced Engineer / Consultant to work on ERTMS and other Control, Command and Signalling (CCS) opportunities within the Rail sector.

The ideal individual for this role, will have experience of working in the Rail sector within a consultancy environment.

This business has won innovation awards over a number of years including two rail industry awards.

You will have the ability to work on a varied and challenging range of projects as well as helping continue the growth of the rail business in a successful, innovative and progressive engineering consultancy.

If you have systems, assurance or safety experience related to the development of CCS systems or ERTMS systems (infrastructure or train borne aspects) then we would like to hear from you.

All roles will involve providing technical (and project management) contribution to ERTMS or CCS projects. For more senior roles, you will also be involved in leading teams and developing market opportunities.

Requirements

You should either have a degree in a relevant discipline and/or be a member of a railway or engineering institute. As appropriate to the stage of your career, you will have experience in the rail industry of development, implementation or application of one or more of the following:

* European Rail Traffic Management System (ERTMS) system
* British railway signalling principles
* Electronic interlocking development and application
* Rail Traffic Management systems
* Train protection and control systems
* Other significant CCS systems
* You may also have experience in one or more of the following:
* Systems engineering
* System safety analysis / safety case development
* Whole system requirements specification / definition
* Reliability, Availability, Maintainability and Safety (RAMS)
* Systems integration
* Design assurance

We would also be interested in applications from people with experience of related areas such as HF, Cyber/Security and modelling/analysis skills, programme/EMS experts.
