A+A recruitment are assisting our partner with the recruitment of a Senior Production Group Leader. Our partner is a multi-national manufacturing business supplying into the automotive industry. This is a permanent position with a truly big player in the industry.
Main aim of Job
Specific duties and responsibilities include:
?? Health, Safety & Environmental Compliance of the area(s), working with Health & Safety department to ensure a safe working environment.
?? Deputising for the Operations Manager, by managing and leadering the Goup Leaders including regular communication, coaching, and performance management.
?? Ensure adherance to business operating standards, through auditing, training, coaching etc.
?? Utilising problem solving methods to address quality concerns and drive continuous improvement.
?? Working with the Operations Manager to optimise processes.
?? Working in conjunction with other departments, to make improvements and resolve issues as they arise.
?? Ensuring that customer requirements are met and any issues are raised and resolved in a timely manner and escalated accordingly.
?? Supporting the Group Leaders to ensure continuity and consistant approach is maintained.
?? To improve production by utilising continuous improvement methodologies (BIT)
?? To develop and maintain transparency of production through data collection and visual management.
?? Preparing reports to demonstrate progress
?? Liasing with the wider business.
Requirements
?? Relevant manufacturing / Engineering experience equivalent within automotive or fast paced manufacturing environment.
?? Qualified in either Manufacturing or Management degree level is desirable
?? NEBOSH National general certificate is desirable
?? Previous management experience.
?? Proven experience of managing workloads and both setting and achieving KPI's
?? Possess excellent leadership qualities and be passionate about leading and motivating others to continuously improve performance, quality, costs and delivery.
?? Advantageous if experienced in Lean manufacturing and robotic welding
?? A confident communicator with assertiveness and drive for results.
?? Excellent organisational, literacy and numeracy skills.
?? Computer literate, microsoft word, excel and powerpoint. SAP would be advantageous.
Salary + Benefits
GBP45 - 50K
Monday - Friday Days , flexibility is required
25 days holiday plus 8 days bank holidays
