Do you like the idea of working for a leading British Healthcare company in a field based role?

We are a leading UK manufacturer and supplier of clinical beds, pressure mattresses, treatment furniture and other supportive medical products to the social care industry, NHS, Private Hospitals, Care & Nursing home and distributors across the UK. Further to our recent acquisition, we are looking to recruit a Service Technician on a full-time basis to specialise on our own range of respiratory products. The role will be based at our Yorkshire Service Centre based in Halifax but there will be travel required throughout the UK.

This role will be both workshop and field based, dealing with warranty returns and adhering to the Company's decontamination procedure.

The main focus of the role is to carry out servicing and repairs of our products which include installation, collection or exchanging equipment as requested. The role is customer facing which involves the general public in their homes as well as NHS and care homes, the successful candidate will also need to communicate/liaise with the internal warranty processing team. Experience of working with CPAP, oxygen, suction and diagnostic equipment is preferable however, we would consider applications from candidates with a similar background as full product training will be provided.

The role is very manual so good manual handling skills are essential (e.g. moving equipment, working in cramped or restricted positions). Driving is a major part of the role so good driving skills and attention to detail is required. The role can be emotional with mental stress as you are dealing with customers that are ill and family members that are under considerable strain. The environment and working conditions can vary as you will be going into people's homes. The requirement for customer/user training is part of this role.

Due to the nature of this role, all applicants are subject to an enhanced DBS (Debarring Disclosure Service formally CRB) check.

Hours of work are 8.30 am to 5.00 pm, Monday to Friday 38.75 hours per week. Due to the nature of the role, we do require a flexible approach to the hours worked.
