Due to ongoing expansion we are seeking to recruit a proven Hire Plant Fitter / Commercial Vehicle Technician to support our own fleet of commercial vehicles which range from transit vans to 30 ton tipper lorries, alongside auxiliary plant such as excavators, rollers, mini diggers and various pieces of two stroke petrol driven plant.
You will be required to undertake the servicing and inspection of our fleet of vehicles, prep the vehicles for MOT's and undertake routine maintenance and repairs to both the fleet and auxiliary plant.
You will ideally have gained your experience from supporting both vehicles and plant within a number of environments and must hold formal vehicle technician / motor vehicle studies or mechanical engineering qualifications.
Skills wise you must hold strong mechanical and hydraulic skills and have a good understanding of two stoke petrol engines. In addition knowledge of electrical systems and diesel engines is an advantage.
The role will require you to be based at our facility in Central Birmingham, working Days Mon - Fri with regular overtime being available at a weekend.
We offer a starting salary of between GBP28 - GBP34K, Plus Paid Overtime.
